The Cincinnati Bengals travel northeast to face the Cleveland Browns in the Battle of Ohio on Thursday Night Football. Both teams are coming off subpar offensive performances in Week 1, and will look to rebound and put more points on the board in Week 2.
The Bengals have had a headache at the kicker position through the first week. Randy Bullock missed a 31-yard field goal attempt in the closing seconds of Week 1 that would have forced overtime. The Bengals lost on the miss, and Bullock immediately grabbed his leg. He later claimed he felt a cramp in his leg on the kick.
Bullock was a limited participant in practice on Monday, and on Tuesday, the Bengals claimed Austin Seibert off waivers from the Browns. Bullock got in full practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, however, and head coach Zac Taylor said Bullock would play on Thursday.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Bengals K Randy Bullock
The Bengals are not a good offense, but that can offer some kicker value. The Bengals won’t be scoring many touchdowns, but Joe Burrow showed last Sunday he could move the ball. Bullock had three field goal attempts and an extra point. If he had made the third field goal, he would have either tied for 5th or 1st, depending on how your league scores short field goal attempts.
Start/Sit Recommendation
Former kickers were joking about whether or not Bullock was faking the leg cramp because of the miss. If the leg injury was legit, that is something to worry about cutting his night short on Thursday. If he was healthy I’d recommend him, but because of the injury, you should pass.
