According to a report from HBCUSports.com, NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders will be the new head coach at the Jackson State University, and HBCU in Mississippi.
Deion Sanders, a Pro and College Football Hall of Famer, is expected to be named the next head coach at Jackson State, sources told HBCU Sports.
A press conference, sources said, is expected Monday at 10 a.m.
“I’m going to be a head coach in college football next year,” Sanders told the Dan Patrick Show ahead of Super Bowl LIV. “I’m that definite. I’m that assured that I am. This is something that is my calling. I’m going to coach college football. Head coach, not coach. Head coach.”
More to come here shortly. But the guy that once forced the creation of the “Deion Sanders Rule” because he simply didn’t attend class in the fall semester before he was clearly heading to the NFL is now coaching college football players. You might not have seen this coming when Prime Time was a standout at Florida State.
