Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper is dealing with a foot injury ahead of his team’s Week 2 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN’s Todd Archer. He was limited in practice on Thursday. Considering he was not on the report on Wednesday, this is notable. We’ll go over his fantasy football considerations here.
Fantasy football analysis: Cowboys WR Amari Cooper
Cooper got off to a strong start against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. He hauled in 10 receptions for 81 yards despite facing an elite cornerback in Jalen Ramsey. If he plays in Week 2, he’ll have an ideal matchup against a Falcons defense that gave up 322 passing yards to Russell Wilson on Sunday. The Cowboys have a more talented receiving corps with Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb.
Cooper will be a viable DFS option against the Falcons even if he’s not at 100 percent, but Gallup and Lamb could get significant boosts if he’s ruled out. We’ll update once Friday practice is a wrap.
