The first-ever Payne’s Valley Cup is set to tee off on Tuesday, September 22 at the Tiger Woods-designed Payne’s Valley Golf Course at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri. It will get underway at 3:00 p.m. ET and air on the Golf Channel until 7:00 p.m. ET. It can also been seen on NBC Sports mobile apps, Golfchannel.com, and GolfPass.
The 18-hole charity event will feature four of the world’s top golfers. Woods and world No. 3 Justin Thomas will form Team United States to take on a Team Europe squad composed of Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose. While the matchup will be closed to the public, proceeds will be donated to the Payne Stewart Family Foundation — named after deceased golf legend Payne Stewart — to support organizations like Kids Across America, the AJGA and The First Tee.
Woods, who has been a regular fixture in charity golf events lately, is looking forward to seeing a course he helped create get featured.
“Payne’s Valley is the first public golf course that I have designed. I couldn’t be prouder of how it turned out,” Woods said. “It was an honor for me and my TGR Design team to work with Johnny Morris and Big Cedar Lodge on this spectacular golf course. I am thrilled that it will be featured during the Payne’s Valley Cup.”
