Tale of The Tape for Sijara Eubanks vs. Karol Rosa

Sijara Eubanks and Karol Rosa fight as the co-main event at bantamweight during UFC Fight Night Saturday in Las Vegas. We break down the odds.

In a substituted bantamweight battle that serves as the co-main event for UFC on ESPN 9 this Saturday in Las Vegas, Sijara Eubanks takes on Karol Rosa live from the UFC Apex facility. This fight was originally scheduled for Macy Chiasson to face Eubanks, but she was withdrawn last week for an undisclosed reason.

“Sarj” Eubanks is 5-4 as an MMA fighter, with a UFC record of 3-2. The fact that she’s ranked #15 at 135 lbs. shows how thin the heaviest women’s division is right now. Her four losses are all by decision, and include a pair to #3 Aspen Ladd, one to flyweight #1 Katlyn Chookagian, and one to Bethe Correia. It hasn’t been the easiest slate, but there’s no signature wins either. She’s averages 4.95 significant strikes per minute and 2.00 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Rosa as replacement becomes the early favorite, behind the strength of her 13-3 record and 2-0 mark in the UFC. Her last bout was a unanimous decision over Vanessa Melo on July 11th on Fight Island, where she upped her strikes landed per minute average to a ridiculous 9.70 over 30 minutes of UFC cage time. The 25-year-old Brazilian has six career stoppages, four by knockout, and fights out of Parana Vale Tudo.

Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Sijara Eubanks vs. Karol Rosa at UFC Fight Night on September 5th.
