What to do with James Robinson in Week 2 fantasy football

James Robinson is the Jaguars’ feature back, but it’s unclear if he’ll be able to put up solid fantasy numbers at this point.

An unexpected series of events led to James Robinson winning the starting running back job for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, and he assumed a large role in their 27-20 victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. He should continue to get plenty of touches against the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. We’ll go over his fantasy football upside here.

Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars RB James Robinson

Robinson was the only running back who got carries in Week 1. He tallied 62 rushing yards on a game-high 16 attempts. Chris Thompson’s only touches were the two receptions he logged for six yards. The Jaguars only had 47 offensive snaps against the Titans, but Robinson was in on nearly three times as many plays. It appears like Thompson will play a minor role moving forward.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Robinson was likely an early waiver wire pickup in most leagues, so there’s a good chance most fantasy owners have two better running backs available. He’s worth a flex play at best in season-long fantasy and could be valuable in DFS if you think he can get some goal line work.
