In his Chicago Bears debut, tight end Jimmy Graham satisfied fantasy owners who started him with his Week 1 performance on Sunday afternoon. He only caught three passes for 25 yards but found his way into the end zone for a productive fantasy day. Can this be produced on a consistent basis? Let’s take a look at Graham’s fantasy outlook heading into Week 2.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears TE Jimmy Graham
Just by looking at the final box score, it might suggest Graham could be reliant scoring a touchdown, but he did see seven targets come his way in this game. Plenty of tight ends need touchdowns to be productive fantasy players, but it’s possible Graham could be more than that. Fantasy owners will have to watch how he is used in the Bears’ offense moving forward.
Graham’s best statistical seasons are behind him when he was among the best at the position with the New Orleans Saints. However if Mitch Trubisky continues to look his way consistently, Graham could find value as a low-end tight end one in fantasy lineups.
On Sunday, Graham will be matched up with the New York Giants, who limited Pittsburgh Steelers’ tight ends to two catches for 21 yards.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Graham should be looked at as a tight end two in standard leagues, meaning he can probably take a seat on the bench this weekend.
