What to do with David Johnson in Week 2 fantasy football

With a tough matchup on tap, should Houston’s running back be in your lineup this week?

Was it really worth trading away DeAndre Hopkins for David Johnson? It sure didn’t look like it in the Houston Texans’ Week 1 loss to the Chiefs, but that’s far beyond the scope of this post. We just want to know whether or not Johnson is a decent start this week in another tough matchup, this time against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans RB David Johnson

Johnson caught 11 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown last week, adding 32 receiving yards on three catches. He’s the centerpiece of Houston’s offense, after quarterback Deshaun Watson, of course, so he’s going to get the work, no matter the matchup. That fact alone makes him a decent play almost every week.

The Ravens are big favorites here, but it’s worth pointing out that they did allow 138 rushing yards to the Browns last week, a game Baltimore handily won. Take those two things together and it makes Johnson a solid starter this week. His $5,800 price tag in DraftKings leagues isn’t a bad deal either.
