What to do with Kenyan Drake, Chase Edmonds in Week 2 fantasy football

The Cardinals running back duo could be in for a nice week.

Running back time shares are usually anathema to fantasy football decision makers, but the Arizona Cardinals have the rare situation where two running back both carry some value for fantasy football. The question for Week 2 is which one, Kenyan Drake or Chase Edmonds, belongs in your lineup.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals RBs Kenyan Drake, Chase Edmonds

Drake is clearly the first option in the run game. He carried the ball 16 times for 60 yards in the Cardinals’ huge upset win over the 49ers last week. Most notably, Drake pushed in the game-winning touchdown. Edmonds had a solid day in relief too. He ran six times for 26 yards, and caught three passes for 19 yards and a touchdown.

Arizona’s running backs should both be productive against Washington this week. Sure, the Football Team kept Philadelphia’s runners bottled up in the opener, but that was a team without three of its starting offensive linemen. Drake looks like a solid play for an RB1 slot in a game where his team is heavily favored. Edmunds isn’t a bad play for a Flex spot either, especially with a $4,600 price tag in DraftKings leagues this week.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Drake. Start Edmonds.
