The New York Jets have ruled out wide receiver Jamison Crowder for this week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Crowder is dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss practice late this week.
Fantasy impact: WR Jamison Crowder injury
Crowder had a big game last week in a loss to the Buffalo Bills. He caught seven of 13 targets for 115 yards and a touchdown. When he’s in the lineup, Crowder is just about the only consistent fantasy option on the Jets. Without him, Gang Green will roll with Breshad Perriman and Chris Hogan as the top two receivers, and Braxton Berrios in the slot. Perriman is likely to see his workload increase the most without Crowder, but he’s a risky fantasy play. Hogan should not be on your radar at all. Berrios is too much of an unknown at this point.
The biggest beneficiary this week could be tight end Chris Herndon, who has a nice connection established with quarterback Sam Darnold. Herndon caught six of seven passes last week for 37 yards.
