How to handle Kenny Golladay injury in Week 2 fantasy football

Kenny Golladay is going to miss this week’s game when the Detroit Lions travel to Green Bay for a day with their NFC North rival Packers. The Lions’ No. 1 receiver tweaked his hamstring earlier this month, before the season started, and the team’s been cautious about getting him back into the line of fire before he’s ready.

Fantasy impact: WR Kenny Golladay injury

Golladay had a big season in 2019 with 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns. He leads an offense that a lot of people had high hopes for heading into the season. Without Golladay in the lineup, Marvin Jones and Quintez Cephus should once again see the lion’s share of the targets among the receivers.

Both Jones and Cephus had decent outings last week against a tough Bears defense. Jones caught four of eight targets for 55 yards. Cephus, who takes Golladay’s spot in the lineup, was targeted 10 times, catching three passes for 43 yards. The Lions will likely be forced to throw the ball a lot in order to keep up with the Packers this week, making both Jones and Cephus attractive options in fantasy. Jones probably has a slight edge, but both should benefit from a high volume of targets.
