What to do with DeVante Parker, Preston Williams in Week 2 fantasy football

Parker is a game-time decision, which could mean more work for Williams. Here’s what that mean for fantasy football.

Game status: DeVante Parker is ACTIVE after being listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury.

It looks like we are going to have to wait until Sunday morning to see if the Miami Dolphins will have DeVante Parker in the lineup for a tough game against the Buffalo Bills this week. Miami’s top receiver hurt his hamstring last week, and was forced to leave the game in the third quarter after catching just four passes. If Parker can’t go, that could make Preston Williams a moderately attractive option in fantasy football.

Hamstring injuries are tricky for wide receivers. Even if Parker is able to play, it’s the kind of thing that could mean he’ll be limited in what he could do or even be forced to leave the game early again. And this is not a Bills defense to trifle with. The good news is that he was limited in Friday’s practice.

Parker’s potential absence makes Preston Williams a decent play in fantasy leagues. Williams was targeted seven times last week, catching two passes for 41 yards. If Parker can’t play, he’ll get even more looks, which would make him worth a spot in most leagues. Of course, if Parker can play, he’s a must-start, even in a tough matchup.
