The Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles square off in Week 2, with the two teams in slightly unexpected situations. The Rams were home underdogs to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football, but won 20-17. The Eagles were 5.5-point favorites on the road against Washington, but after building a 17-0 lead, everything went south in the second half and they lost 27-17.
The Rams opened as high as a two-point favorite, but this line quickly swung over the course of the week. The Eagles are now favored by as much as 1.5-points. The total for the game is 45.5. We’ve got a look at DraftKings Sportsbook betting splits to give us an idea of where the public is at on this divisional matchup.
Rams @ Eagles betting splits
Although the line swung to the Eagles, heading into game day the betting public is now backing the Rams. We likely saw some sharp money early move it, but now we’re seeing Joe Public thinking they’ve found a bargain.
Heading into Sunday, 77 percent of the point spread handle and 84 percent of the point spread bets are on the Rams. 70 percent of moneyline handle and 77 percent of moneyline bets are on the Rams to win this game outright.
Both teams are in relatively good shape on the health front. The Rams are unsure of tight end Gerald Everett, who is listed as questionable for the game. On the other side, the Eagles will be without wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, while defensive ends Derek Barnett and Brandon Graham are both questionable. Graham is expected to play, but potentially more important, offensive tackle Lane Johnson and running back Miles Sanders did not show up on the final injury report.
The Rams might be a little overvalued right now. They got the win over Dallas, but it was a slog for them. The Eagles were shorthanded against Washington and missing offensive line help cost Carson Wentz big time. They’ll have key reinforcements against the Rams.
