Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones was the starter in Week 2 and found the end zone early in the game, but Leonard Fournette, who was recently acquired from the Jaguars, ended up with more carries and better statistics.

Fournette topped off his strong return to prominence with a 46-yard touchdown run:

On the day, the ex-Jaguar had 12 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns along with four receptions for 13 yards while Ronald Jones had seven carries for 23 yards and two receptions for four yards. This was the Panthers, so we can’t get overly excited, but it was still a strong showing by Fournette. We likely have a committee of sorts moving forward, but it’s hard not to believe that Fournette is the lead of that committee.
