A.J. Brown not seen at practice Friday, looks iffy for Week 3

The Titans could be without A.J. Brown for a second straight week.

Friday update: A.J. Brown was not seen at practice on Friday, per The Athletic’s John Glennon. We’ll know more when the official injury report comes out later today, but the chances of Brown suiting up against the Vikings on Sunday look remote. Once again Jonnu Smith and Corey Davis should get a good boost in opportunity on your fantasy teams.

Thursday update: The Titans released their Thursday injury report. A.J. Brown remains a DNP but Jonnu Smith was upgraded to full participation a day after being limited. He should be good to go on Sunday.

Wednesday PM update: The Titans released their official injury report for Wednesday and Brown and Smith were listed as DNPs.

The Tennessee Titans returned to practice on Wednesday, and they are already shorthanded for Week 3. Wide receiver A.J. Brown and tight end Jonnu Smith were not on the practice field, according to team reporter Jim Wyatt.

Brown missed last week’s game due to a knee injury. He was limited in practice last Wednesday, and then a DNP for Thursday and Friday. Corey Davis and Adam Humphries become the top two receiver without Brown, and last week saw the team promote Cameron Batson off the practice squad.

Smith was the team’s leading pass catcher last week, finishing Week 2 with four receptions for 84 yards and two touchdowns. If his absence is injury-related, it’s a new injury, as he was not on the Week 2 injury report all last week.

Ryan Tannehill still has some solid pass-catching options without Brown or Smith, but he gets a slight downgrade if Brown and Smith were to miss Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
