Friday update: Jerry Jeudy is questionable to play against the Buccaneers, per NFL Network’s James Palmer. It appears he is closer to playing than not, and the Broncos need him to since Courtland Sutton is out and they are now thin at the position.
The Denver Broncos returned to practice on Wednesday to kick off Week 3 and the injury report is significant. The team is already without quarterback Drew Lock, but his backups are dealing with a banged up wide receiver corps as well. Courtland Sutton is out for the season due to a knee injury and now Jerry Jeudy is banged up with a rib injury. He was listed as limited at Wednesday’s practice.
Jeudy likely will be fine, but he will be a name to track over the next couple days as the team gets their practice sessions in. Jeudy and Noah Fant will be the top pass catching options for Jeff Driskel or Blake Bortles this weekend. It’s not an ideal situation, but both should be in line for a sizable target workload.
KJ Hamler, Tim Patrick, and DaeSean Hamilton will all see additional work with Sutton out, but none is worth rostering for the time being. They all have something to prove and they don’t have the best quarterback to boost their fantasy value in the short term.
Here is the full Bucs-Broncos injury report for Week 3. The Broncos are obviously dealing with a lot more injuries. The only one not participating today in Tampa was Justin Watson, whom Bruce Arians told me was "day to day." https://t.co/7eh4XaudLu pic.twitter.com/rPMPwDRDsP— JennaLaineESPN (@JennaLaineESPN) September 23, 2020
