Injuries happened all over the place in week two of the NFL season. That makes a guy like Gardner Minshew all the more valuable on Thursday Night Football against the Dolphins. The let-it-rip style that sometimes got the worst out of Minshew, now seems to be properly deployed in the new Jaguars offense.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew
Despite being inserted into a new offensive scheme, Minshew shined in his first two weeks under Jay Gruden. The turnovers are going to be high this season. However, the offensive productivity should rise along and surpass the turnovers that Minshew outputs. Minshew had more than double the amount of pass attempts in the Jaguars loss to the Titans than he did in week one. The increase in offensive output led to more mistakes and a lower completion percentage. Miami has the 26th ranked passing defense after playing and losing to Cam Newton and Josh Allen. Minshew should have a field day against this reeling Dolphins defense.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Minshew should be a no brainer start in season-long fantasy. There are some better options in DFS, but you could do far worse than Minshew against the Dolphins on a short week.
