What to do with Ryan Fitzpatrick in Week 3 fantasy football

Will the bearded one be worth a fantasy start on TNF? We take a look.

Game update: Fitzpatrick is rolling on Thursday Night Football. Midway through the second quarter, he’s 11 of 11 for 123 yards and two touchdowns and he’s rushed four times for 24 yards. The Dolphins lead the Jaguars 21-7.

When Ryan Fitzpatrick and Miami Dolphins line up against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football, they’re going to be underdogs. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take a serious look at Ryan Fitzpatrick as a fantasy prospect this week against a pretty bad Jaguars defense.

Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

The Jaguars defensive is consistently lackluster. The Jags seem to have carried last year’s horrible defensive consistency into this year. Ryan Tannehill and Philip Rivers both had strong games against this Jags defense in the first two weeks of the season. Tannehill threw four touchdowns and Rivers tossed up over 350 yards. The inconsistencies of Fitzpatrick most weeks would be enough to scare me off. However, given the short week and already vulnerable Jags defense, Fitzpatrick should be a serious consideration for most fantasy teams. Fitzpatrick is coming off a stellar game in week two wherein he threw for 328 yards and two touchdowns against a formidable Bills defense.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Your decision to start Fitzpatrick depends so much on your other options. But of all the weeks to look at a season-long fantasy start for Fitzpatrick, this is the week. For DFS, you may give Fitzpatrick a shot. Again, this Jags defense is BAD.
