Thursday Night Football brings us the battle of The Beard versus The ‘Stache as Ryan Fitzpatrick and Gardner Minshew match their skills in primetime. The odds favor the mustachioed one, as the Jaguars are 3-point favorites at home. The point total is above average at 48.5, implying 25.75 points for Jacksonville and 22.75 points for Miami.

Both teams lost in Week 2, with the Bills squeaking by the Dolphins 31-28 and the Titans doing similarly to the Dolphins with a 33-30 win over the Jaguars.

As almost a three-point favorite, Jaguars backers are making themselves known at DraftKings Sportsbook. Betters are hooked on getting a piece of the Minshew Magic after he led his team to a win over the Colts in Week 1 and a close game in which the Jaguars beat the spread in Week 2.

The majority of the handle and bets are for the Jaguars and the points, with 70 percent of the handle and 73 percent of the bets leaning toward Jacksonville. The same is true with the moneyline, with 64 percent of the handle and 67 percent of the bets favoring the team from Florida.

Opt-in to our 4th quarter big play promo, and if there’s a 20-plus yard touchdown in the 4th quarter, you’ll win a ticket to a $100k free roll on Sunday, Sept. 27.

As for the point total, the money is on the over, with 65 percent of the handle banking on the game going over 48.5 points. The percent of bets made are also trending toward the over, with 67 percent leaning over and 33 percent under.

So far the Dolphins are 1-1 against the spread and have gone over once and under once, while the Jaguars are 2-0 against the spread and have gone over in both their games. With the Dolphins losing Byron Jones for this game and both teams relying on weak pass defenses already, the trend toward the over makes sense.

After Week 1, the Dolphins didn’t look like they’d be able to muster much offense, but a 30-point game against the Titans gives us some hope they can do at least as well against a worse defense this week. This should be a fun game!
