The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series’ next race will be the be the World of Westgate 200 on Friday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The race will be aired at 9:00 p.m. ET on FS1. We’ll go over the the betting favorites and how the starting order will be determined below.

The starting grid has been determined by random draws that take team owner points into account since the restart, but NASCAR has changed how qualifying works in the three national series (Cup, Xfinity, Gander Outdoors Truck) moving forward. Here’s a breakdown of the new system.

Three performance metrics will be utilized, with each one weighted a little different. It breaks down as follows.

  • Finishing position from the previous race (weighted 50%)
  • Ranking in team owner points standings (35%)
  • Fastest lap from the previous race (15%)

Austin Hill is the favorite to win on DraftKings Sportsbook at +300 and has a narrow edge over points leader Brett Moffitt (+450), who is the pole sitter for Friday’s race. Moffit is looking to rattle off a third straight top five finish and has a good chance to do that with his spot on the starting grid. Sheldon Creed has the third best odds at +600 and is second to Moffitt in the standings. He’ll start in fourth on the grid.

Here’s what the rest of the field looks like for Friday’s Truck Series race.
