Heading into week three of the 2020/21 English Premier League season, there are four exciting matches lined up on Saturday, September 26 to kick off the weekend. With a couple of potential upsets looking mighty tempting, DraftKings Sportsbook has the heavy hitters as the favorites, and they’re getting plenty of bets.

Brighton & Hove Albion v. Manchester United, 7:30AM ET

Brighton +380: 9% of handle, 7% of bets
Tie +270: 2% of handle, 2% of bets
Manchester United -132: 89% of handle, 91% of bets

Brighton will host the Red Devils for the first of two straight matches against Man U, as they face off against them in EPL play while a quick turnaround sees the two sides go at it again next week in the EFL Cup round of 16. The hosts will be without midfielder Yves Bissouma, who is currently serving a three-game suspension after being sent off in their 3-0 win over Newcastle. For Man United, defender Eric Bailly is listed as available and could potentially make his first EPL appearance for the Red Devils this season. Man United is heavily favored to win this game, especially since they’ve won the last three Premier League meetings between the two clubs.

Crystal Palace v. Everton, 10:00AM ET

Crystal Palace +270: 14% of handle, 13% of bets
Tie +230: 7% of handle, 7% of bets
Everton +110: 79% of handle, 80% of bets

It looks as though the public has spoken and chosen Everton as the out-and-out winners of this match, but it’s not completely cut and dry. Crystal Palace has won both of its first two matches in EPL play for the first time in club history, most notably coming off a 3-1 win over league giants Man United. Granted, they haven’t earned the full three points against Everton since 2014, but if there ever was a time for them to make it happen, it’s now. On the flip side, Everton have also won their first two EPL matches, and are coming off of back-to-back 5-2 wins, most recently against Fleetwood in EFL Cup play. Youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin has scored in both of Everton’s first two EPL matches and will look to keep his streak going into week three.

West Bromwich Albion v. Chelsea, 12:30PM ET

West Bromwich +700: 3% of handle, 2% of bets
Tie +400: 1% of handle, 1% of bets
Chelsea -265: 96% of handle, 97% of bets

The overwhelming favoritism of Chelsea in this match is spot on, as they are fresh off of a 6-0 annihilation of Barnsley in the EFL Cup. New transfer signing Kai Havertz notched a hat trick, while goals from Tammy Abraham, Ross Barkley, and Olivier Giroud rounded out the massive scoreline. The Blues will need three points against West Brom as they fell 2-0 to last season’s league champions Liverpool and will be without defender Andreas Christensen who left that match with a red card in first half stoppage time. Similarly, West Brom will be without Kieran Gibbs who was also sent off in their 5-2 loss to Everton last week. West Brom currently sits in dead last in the league table, and will have a giant mountain to climb if they want to earn a result against Chelsea this weekend.

Burnley v. Southampton, 3:00PM ET

Burnley +220: 35% of handle, 29% of bets
Tie +225: 9% of handle, 15% of bets
Southampton +132: 56% of handle, 56% of bets

Both Burnley and Southampton will be looking for their first EPL points this season, though Southampton has played one more Premier League game than their foes. Burnley is still alive in EFL Cup play after squeaking their was past Sheffield United in penalties in the second round, and taking care of Millwall 2-0 in the third. However, they dropped their single Premier League result in a 4-2 loss against Leicester City. Southampton hasn’t fared quite as well, losing 1-0 to Crystal Palace in week one, falling 5-2 to Tottenham in week two, and crashing out of the EFL Cup in the second round with a 2-0 loss to Brentford. The Clarets are currently riding an eight-game unbeaten run against the Saints and will look to make it nine this weekend. As seen in the splits, it’s apparent that Southampton are slightly favored to win this match but it could easily go either way between these two struggling sides.
