In the UFC’s return to Abu Dhabi, two flyweights face off in a contested match up. Kai Kara France vs. Brandon Royval. It’s an old tale of established versus new blood.
France is a name many fight fans know. Coming off a great TUF performance UFC hired him in 2018. Since that he’s been wining with a 3-1 record in the UFC (21-8 overall). Being quicker will help in this fight, as will the the smart combinations he’s known for. If France can keep this fight up right his chances should improve.
Royval is a grappler’s grappler, meaning he can go with them all. Despite being a new comer at 11-4, he’s already made an impact by finishing seven of his past opponents via submission, quite often from his back. A takedown will dramatically improve his chances here, and he should do everything e can to get one. We’ll see how he responds to France’s stand-up.
