UPDATE: The game started about ten minutes late.
Well here’s a new one in the season of Covid-19: The Syracuse Orange have delayed kickoff in their game with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from the expected noon ET start as they await results from virus tests.

It looks like three players are involved.

But why wasn’t this done earlier? The protocols that have been set up for college teams are extensive and theoretically able to handle any contingency. But let’s also understand that these are weird times and patience is required from everyone.
No word on how long this will take, but maybe if they turn the testing machine off and turn it back on we’ll be able to get to kickoff. It’s been a rough year so far for the Orange, falling 31-6 to North Carolina and 21-10 to Pitt last weekend.
And with ‘Cuse starting 0-2 this season and looking anemic offensively, Twitter is here for the jokes.
