Ben Roethlisberger has led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 2-0 start in 2020 since returning from the season-ending elbow injury that brought his 2019 season to a premature end. He improved upon his Week 1 performance in Week 2 and has a chance to continue thriving against the Houston Texans’ underwhelming secondary in Week 3.
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger
Not having Antonio Brown hasn’t been a problem for Roethlisberger. He’s connected with JuJu Smith-Schuster on two touchdown passes and has targeted Diontae Johnson a staggering 23 times. Only two players have been targeted more than Johnson, who has converted his opportunities into 14 receptions for 149 yards. Houston has actually done a good job of containing two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, but I’m skeptical about them keeping that up against Roethlisberger, who is just starting to shake the rust off.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Roethlisberger is worth starting in season-long fantasy and DFS after throwing for 311 yards against the Denver Broncos in Week 2. He could continue to throw the ball more as the season goes on and he gets back into a rhythm.
