What to do with Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, Tim Patrick in Week 3 fantasy football

Injuries have taken a heavy toll on Denver’s receiving corps.

Game status: Jeudy is ACTIVE for Week 3.

Game day update: Jeudy is expected to play through his bruised ribs, according to Ian Rapoport. He is a solid start this week with Courtland Sutton sidelined.

The Denver Broncos are hurting at the wide receiver position. Last week, they lost their No. 1, Courtland Sutton, for the rest of the season. Now, rookie Jerry Jeudy is dealing with a rib injury that has him questionable for this week’s game against the Buccaneers. The team will have to make a game-time decision on his status, though early indication are that he will play. Still, it could mean an expanded workload for K.J. Hamler and Tim Patrick.

Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, Tim Patrick

With Sutton out last week, Jeudy had an even bigger role in the offense, catching four passes on seven targets from backup QB Jeff Driskel (starter Drew Lock is also out for awhile.) A first-round pick out of Alabama, Jeudy will have his ups and downs this season, but without Sutton in the lineup and the Broncos liable to be playing from behind in a lot of their games, he’s got real upside for volume.

Hamler had seven targets last week too, catching three of them for 48 yards. A speedster who primarily works out of the slot, Hamler’s workload should see an uptick too, and if Jeudy can’t play this week, he’ll be the top option among Broncos receivers.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Jeudy, if he can play. Start Hamler if Jeudy is out.
