Game status: Jack Doyle is ACTIVE for Week 3

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle will be back on the field this week, according to head coach Frank Reich. He missed last week’s game with an ankle injury, and is still listed as questionable on the official injury report. The game kicks off at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Fantasy impact: Jack Doyle injury

Doyle wasn’t much of a factor in the opening week game. He caught just three passes on four targets for a total of 49 yards. While he was on the sideline last week, the Colts ended up giving his replacement, Mo Alie-Cox, a pretty sizable role in the game plan. The backup caught five passes for 111 yards against the Vikings.

This week the Colts face the Jets, a matchup that should give their skill players the chance to produce lots and lots of fantasy points. The Jets gave up two touchdowns and 55 yards to tight ends last week.

The matchup makes Doyle a decent play this week. He’s likely to be productive with whatever passes do come his away against a defense that’s struggling, to say the least. That’s enough to make him a decent mid-tier option.
