It’s been a rough start to the season for the Minnesota Vikings. A rebuilding defense can’t seem to stop opponents, but the subpar play from quarterback Kirk Cousins has the offense grinding its gears and going nowhere fast. Needless to say, the wide receivers are not living up to expectations for fantasy production.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson, Bisi Johnson
Thielen is the unquestioned No. 1 receiver in Minnesota. He led the team last week with eight targets, but was only able to turn those into three catches for a meager 31 yards. The next two options on the depth chart, Justin Jefferson and Bisi Johnson, weren’t able to pick up the slack either in that game against the Colts.
A big part of the problem is Cousins, who’s obviously played himself out of fantasy consideration and is threatening his receivers’ relevancy as well.
Thielen is still Cousins’ top choice in the passing game. He’s going to get to the targets, even in tough matchups like this week’s game against the Titans. Because of that, he’s worth a starting spot in your lineups. But at $6,900 in DraftKings leagues, you can find better value somewhere else in DFS. Jefferson and Johnson should not be on your fantasy radar at all this week.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Thielen. Sit Jefferson and Johnson.
