The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be back to relatively good health in Week 3 when they travel to face the Denver Broncos. Wide receiver Chris Godwin practiced in full all week and has cleared the concussion protocol. His running mate, Mike Evans, did not appear on the injury report all week after being slowed by a hamstring injury the first two weeks. Scott Miller was limited all week with hip and groin issues, but he did not appear on the final injury report.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs WRs Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Scott Miller
The Bucs travel to face a Broncos team that has given up the third most fantasy points to the wide receiver position through two weeks. The Broncos are getting decimated by injury on both sides of the ball and the defense is in trouble coming into this matchup.
Godwin led the team in receiving in Week 1 with six receptions for 79 yards before sitting out Week 2. Evans caught a two-yard touchdown in Week 1 as his only receiving production, and then led the team with seven receptions for 104 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. Miller caught five passes for 73 yards in Week 1 and two passes for 11 yards in Week 2.
Miller takes a hit this week both because of his injury and the full health of Godwin and Evans. It’s still early in the Tom Brady era, so we don’t quite know who will emerge as his favorite receiver. That being said, through two weeks it seems to safe to believe it will be either Godwin or Miller. For this week, both are solid starts against a shaky at best Broncos squad.
