Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills rolled over the Los Angeles Rams, taking a commanding 28-3 lead with eight-minutes remaining in the third quarter. That’s a pretty good lead, don’t you think? Well, like some 28-3 leads in the past, this one evaporated quickly, as the Rams scored four straight touchdowns to take a 32-28 lead with four minutes remaining.
Jared Goff got to work midway through the third quarter, finishing off a drive with a 1-yard touchdown run, then letting Robert Woods do his magic after the catch for another touchdown, then hitting Cooper Kupp from 16-yards out and finally, a one-yard touchdown from Darrell Henderson to take the lead. They put those four touchdowns up in just 15 minutes of game play while Aaron Donald anf their defense pressured Allen consistently.
But Josh Allen was on fire today, as he completed 24-of-33 passes for 309 yards and four touchdowns, adding another touchdown on the ground to give him five on the day. That’s a fantasy bonanza yet again for Allen, who has now accounted for 12 touchdowns through three games. Despite losing the lead, Allen was able to move his team down into the red zone with seconds remaing, but needed a questionable defensive holding call on fourth-down to keep their drive going.
Allen was able to hit Tyler Kroft for a three-yard touchdown to seal the win and go 3-0 on the season despite a big game from Jared Goff and second-year back Darrell Henderson.
