Friday update: The Seahawks have listed Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. Pete Carroll wasn’t too concerned about either, according to reporter Michael-Shawn Dugar.
Thursday update: Carson was listed as limited once again on the team’s Thursday injury report.
The Seattle Seahawks got some good news as they kicked off Week 4 practice. Running back Chris Carson was a participant in Wednesday’s practice session, getting in limited work. Carson sprained his knee on a dirty play by Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Trysten Hill in Week 3.
The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter and Carson did not return for the limited remaining amount of time. There was some concern following the game, but an MRI on Monday indicated the injury was not as bad as expected.
Head coach Pete Carroll thought Carson sounded positive on Wednesday. The team has two more days of practice heading into the weekend. If Carson cannot go on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, Carlos Hyde would get the start.
I suspect Carson ends up listed as questionable. If he gets in three limited workouts, this likely comes down to a game-time decision. The upside is the Seahawks-Dolphins game is at 1 p.m. ET, so you’ll know before the bulk of the action whether or not you’ll have Carson available.
