Bets are coming in from the betting public on the 2020 NFL MVP, and there are plenty of takeaways when checking out the top 10 players in terms of percentage of handle and percentage of bets. Check out the latest MVP odds according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

Lamar Jackson ran away with the NFL MVP award last season, but not too many sports bettors expect the Baltimore Ravens quarterback to repeat. He is listed second in MVP odds heading into the season with +700 odds behind only Mahomes. Despite such high odds from oddsmakers, Jackson is not even featured inside the top 10 in percentage of the handle.

Patrick Mahomes is entering the season with a brand new contract and has the best odds to win the NFL MVP during the 2020 regular season at +400. He won the award in 2018 and is coming off his first Super Bowl victory. He is receiving 9% of the bets from the public to win the award, which ranks second in the league with 8% of the handle, fourth most among NFL players.

Heading into his second NFL season, last year’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyler Murray is receiving the highest number of bets to be the MVP with 10% of the action. He’s tied for first with 13% of the handle as well. Despite the public’s optimism, oddsmakers suggest the Arizona Cardinals quarterback is a bit of a longshot. He is currently listed ninth at +2200 odds.

Drew Brees has interesting betting splits as he is receiving the largest handle along with Murray, but only 4% of bettors are betting on him. He is currently listed eighth with +2200 odds.

With his new team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is seeing the third largest handle with 12% and 8% of the bets with the fifth highest odds at +1600.

Plenty of bettors are spending money on longshots Josh Allen (+6000) and Drew Lock (+6600). Both are receiving 4% of the handle. Allen has the 18th bets odds with Lock tied for 22nd.
