How the public is betting 2020 NFL Coach of the Year

Tom Brady’s current and former head coaches are the favorites to win the 2020 NFL Coach of the Year award.

The two betting favorites to win the 2020 NFL Coach of the Year include Tom Brady’s current and former head coaches, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. Bill Belichick and Bruce Arians lead the way with odds listed at +1200. The two coaches are among the top three in the percentage of handle. Arians is receiving 8% of the handle, while 7% of the handle is going to Belichick.

Belichick is a three-time winner of this award, while Arians won it twice in his career.

The favorite according to the public is first-year Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy as he makes his return to the sideline. He is receiving 14% of the handle to lead all head coaches. He is listed with the third best odds at +1300.

Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia and New York Giants head coach Joe Judge are receiving much more love from the betting public than they are from oddsmakers. Patricia is tied for 24th best odds at +3300 but has the third largest handle at 7%. Judge is also at 7% and is tied for 27th on DraftKings at +4000.

Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich is receiving the highest percentage of bets at 12% and 7% on the handle. He is in a large tie for sixth in betting odds at +2000 with Brian Flores, John Harbaugh, Sean McDermott, Sean Payton, Andy Reid and Mike Vrabel. Harbaugh won the award in 2019 but is not among the top 10 in betting handle.

New York Jets head coach Adam Gase is tied for last with +5000 odds but is receiving 6% of the betting handle for seventh place among the head coaches.
