The 2020 NFL season is set to kick off Thursday, September 10. Bettors are placing future bets on who the next receiving yards leader will be. New Orleans Saints star Michael Thomas is favored to repeat after notching a league-leading 1,725 receiving yards in 2019. A year ago, Thomas was followed by Julio Jones (1,394), Chris Godwin (1,333), Travis Kelce (1,229), and DeVante Parker (1,202).

Thomas has the best odds at +500. He’s led the NFL in receptions for two straight seasons, and nobody can match him when it comes to targets. He leads all wideouts with 13 percent of the handle and 12 percent of the total bets. Someone will have to fill in for Ted Ginn Jr., Thomas could see more balls thrown his way if the Saints don’t find a suitable replacement.

The Green Bay Packers lack depth at wideout, and Davante Adams (+1400) is expected to carry a heavy workload because of his team’s lack of talent. He eclipsed 100 receptions in 2018 and could bounce back after dealing with health problems in 2019. A breakout year from Allen Lazard might be the only thing that can stop Adams from tripling the targets of the Packers’ WR2. He owns 10 percent of the handle and 9 percent of the total bets.

Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins (+1800) has seen his odds affected since being traded by the Arizona Cardinals. It’s unclear how he’ll mesh with Kyler Murray, but he is one of the best wideouts in the NFL. The public is betting on his skills thriving despite the new environment. He has 7 percent of the handle and 8 percent of the total bets.

Here’s a complete breakdown of the betting splits for the public’s favorites.
