The Film Breakdown: UAB vs. Miami

It’s the first game for Heisman candidate D’Eriq King and a new offense in the 305. Does UAB have the athletes to keep up? Or at least cover the spread?

With just one game on the board for Thursday night, and it’s a very interesting one for the diehard college football fan. The UAB Blazers head to Miami Gardens and the Miami Hurricanes at 8:00 p.m. ET live on ESPN.

As of the taping of this video, the ‘Canes were a -14.5 point favorite, with the total set at 55. And bettors will be particularly interested in how the Miami offense looks after the firing of offensive coordinator Dan Enos after just one season at The U. He’s replaced by former SMU spread guru Rhett Lashlee, who will get at least one season with one of the highest-profile transfers in college football former Houston Cougar D’Eriq King.

As we go over, the recruiting ratings talent gap between the sides is pretty wide, but is that enough to see the Canes get the cover in Hard Rock Stadium? Seth Varnadore and I head to the videotape to try and help bettors find an edge.
