With a 41-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chicago Bears have taken control of their playoff destiny. All they need is a win against the NFC’s best team in Week 17. Easy, right? There’s no lack of motivation for Aaron Rodgers as he pushes for the league MVP award, so the Bears receiving corps will likely be involved in playing catch-up.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bears WRs Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller, Darnell Mooney
Allen Robinson has quietly put himself in the top tier of wide receivers in the NFL this season. He ranks fourth in targets, fourth in receptions, and eighth in receiving yards. Last week, he logged his fourth 100-receiving-yard performance of the season. This week, he faces a defense that he exploited at the end of November for 8-74-2. Mitch Trubisky clearly trusts his WR1, which means you should, too.
As for the secondary receivers, the trust isn’t nearly as high. Anthony Miller has all but disappeared from the stat sheet, recording three consecutive games with no more than two catches and 16 receiving yards. Darnell Mooney has instead been featured far more, though still not enough to warrant fantasy confidence. Even in games where he has found the endzone (four times this season), Mooney has failed to surpass 18 DKFP. With tight ends Jimmy Graham and Cole Kmet playing a prominent role in the passing game, it would be unwise to rely on Miller or Mooney.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Allen Robinson. Sit Anthony Miller and Darnell Mooney.
