In news that surprises nobody, the Atlanta Falcons have ruled out wide receiver Julio Jones for their Week 17 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jones has been out since aggravating his hamstring in Week 13 and has yet to return to practice.

Jones didn’t want to shut down for the season, but there was no reason to push him to play in a meaningless Week 17 game. We will again see extra work foe Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage, Hayden Hurst and Laquon Treadwell,

Jones will finish the season with 51 receptions for 771 yards and three touchdowns in the nine games he played, which is the second lowest total of his career. When healthy, Jones looked like his normal dominant self, but health has been a commodity he was short of this season. It will be tough to trust him to get a full season in moving forward for fantasy football.
