Why I like the Bears ATS vs. Saints in the Wild Card Round

The New Orleans Saints are set to host the Chicago Bears in Sunday’s second Wild Card Round game and are big-time favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. New Orleans is +390 on the moneyline at DraftKings Sportsbook but I think they have a chance to cover the spread on the road.

ATS Pick: Bears +10

We saw Chicago and New Orleans play a close game in Week 8 at Soldier Field and the Bears only fell short by three points with Nick Foles under center. Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara are fresh off the Covid-19 list and could be a little rusty coming into the weekend. If they’re less than 100 percent Chicago could be very competitive. The Bears have had 10 of their 16 games decided by 10 points.

New Orleans is above average defending the run and the pass but has been susceptible to mobile quarterbacks at times. Trubisky has the ability to extend plays and has two of the NFL’s most productive weapons in David Montgomery and Allen Robinson. Montgomery and Robinson combined for 192 yards and a score in Week 8. If Trubisky exceeds expectations on Sunday as he has over the last couple of weeks this could easily be a one-score game. We saw the Minnesota Vikings get a first-round upset last year without having a spectacular performance.
