How to handle JuJu Smith-Schuster injury in the 2021 NFL Playoffs

JuJu Smith-Schuster was on the Steelers injury report this week for the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL Playoffs. We break down what it means for fantasy football roster decisions.

The Pittsburgh Steelers come into Sunday’s Wild Card game against the Cleveland Browns with a clean final injury report, but JuJu Smith-Schuster will be worth watching. He was not on the report on Wednesday, but then sat out Thursday’s practice with a knee injury. He returned for a full workload on Friday.

Fantasy impact: JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee)

Smith-Schuster has been getting some weekly rest, so it’s not entirely surprising he showed up on the injury report. That being said, he did not show up on recent prior injury reports, so this was a new injury. It’s possible this was simply a tweak that led the Steelers to be a little cautious about.

The full participation on Friday suggests there is nothing to worry about with Smith-Schuster. It’s possible he could aggravate whatever it was, but this seems like a situation where you’d play him if you would normally be comfortable with him when he’s not in the injury report.
