The Green Bay Packers are set to host the Los Angeles Rams in their first game of the 2021 NFL Playoffs — a showdown in Lambeau. The Divisional round game will take place Saturday, January 16th, with kickoff set for 4:35 p.m. ET.
Here’s a look at the opening odds of this matchup between the Packers and Rams in the second round of the playoffs. Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers
Point spread: Packers -7
Point total: 46.5
Moneyline: Rams +265, Packers -335
We’re set to see a battle between the best of the best in this matchup as Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams try to take down the Rams’ illustrious pass defense. Green Bay scored more points and tallied more touchdown passes than any team in the NFL but Los Angeles has given up the fewest points, passing yards, and passing touchdowns thanks to Jalen Ramsey, a host of defensive backs, and Aaron Donald manning the defensive line. Los Angeles also ranked second in sacks during the regular season with 53 and will be sure to apply plenty of pressure to Green Bay’s lethal passing attack.
The Rams can lean on their sturdy ground game against a sometimes shaky Packers run defense but the condition of Jared Goff’s injured thumb will be a major contributing factor to the final result of this matchup.
