The New Orleans Saints are headed to the NFC Divisional round following a 21-9 win over the Chicago Bears. New Orleans will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looking to complete a three-game sweep of their matchups this season.

The Saints had little trouble shutting down the Bears offense in this one. After a solid run in recent weeks, Mitchell Trubisky returned to Earth, throwing for 199 yards and a touchdown, and running for three more. The Bears rushed for a total of 41 yards, with David Montgomery picking up 31 on the ground.

Drew Brees welcomed back Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas and both were big contributors in the win. Kamara rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown while Thomas caught 73 yards and a score. It was not a particularly explosive day for the Saints offense but they got the job done. They only managed a touchdown in the first half, but got rolling in the second half en route to the victory.
