We’ve already got picks as to who will take home the trophy next season.

The season never stops, and as the confetti still falls in Miami Gardens after the Alabama Crimson Tide win the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship, we already have the odds for who will take home the trophy next season.

The Tide are expected to roll once again, checking in as the favorites at +300. While the Clemson Tigers likely loses quarterback Trevor Lawrence to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the bookmakers don’t expect much of a dropoff as superstar freshman DJ Uiagalelei steps in as signal caller. They’ll be at +350, or 7/2 to take home the gold.

The loser in a 52-24 blowout by Alabama in the title game still has plenty of reason to hope for next season, as the Ohio State Buckeyes are +400 to get back and be on the field for the trophy presentation in Indianapolis next season. Though they will lose quarterback Justin Fields to the NFL Draft as well, there’s still plenty of talent that should seem them at the top of the field next season.
