What to do with Tom Brady in the Divisional round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Tom Brady ahead of the Bucs Divisional round matchup against the Saints in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

Is third time a charm for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is looking to make another stop to the Super Bowl as the NFL playoffs continue to role on. How helpful will he be for fantasy owners this weekend? Let’s take a closer look and preview what to expect from him on Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs QB Tom Brady, $16,500/$11,000

During the Wild Card round, Brady and the Buccaneers took down the Washington Football Team on the road 31-23. In that game, Brady completed just 22 of 40 passes, but those completions went for 381 yards with two touchdowns and zero turnovers.

Brady is the highest priced player in this matchup on DraftKings at $16,500. That’s a pretty steep price, but he’s been on a role recently. Brady has thrown for 345 yards or more in five of his last six games including each of the last four.

Tampa Bay will head on the road to take on the New Orleans Saints defense that is pretty good against the pass. The Saints are giving up 215.5 passing yards per game this season, which ranks fifth in the NFL. In Sunday’s game, New Orleans beat the Chicago Bears and held Mitchell Trubisky to complete 19 of 29 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Brady is going to be expensive if you want to get him, and he appears to be worth that dollar figure based on his recent performance. He is loaded with weapons, and he has a good chance at putting up some big numbers once again. If you’re playing in a fantasy league that values winning playoff games, the Buccaneers are three-point underdogs, but Brady might still be worth the risk.
