Game status: Kupp is INACTIVE for the Divisional Round matchup against the Packers.
Warmups update: Kupp is going through warmups, but “it is not sounding too likely we see him today,” per Peter Schrager. If he does play, he would be at less than 100 percent.
Game day update: Kupp is a “true game-time decision,” per Adam Schefter, due to bursitis in his knee. He will go through pre-game warmups to determine if he can play.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is officially listed as questionable on the injury report for their Divisional round game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday. Kupp missed practice all week with a knee injury. However, head coach Sean McVay said this week that it would be possible for Kupp to play without practicing.
Fantasy impact: Cooper Kupp (knee)
That’s not a definitive answer as to Kupp’s status, but it seems like a stretch to think he’d miss this game. Kupp initially suffered the injury last in last week’s Wild Card game against the Seattle Seahawks. It forced him out of action in that one, after he caught four passes on nine targets for 78 yards.
Kupp’s fantasy appeal is limited anyway. The Rams are starting quarterback Jared Goff, who’s still recovering from surgery to the thumb on his throwing hand. You didn’t need to be a doctor to see that it was limiting Goff’s already limited ability in last week’s game. Plus, the weather forecast is calling for cold and windy in Green Bay.
If Kupp can’t go, Robert Woods’ has a little more fantasy value than normal. Slot receiver Josh Reynolds could also see more targets.
