We could get a barn burner in Saturday’s matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks at 10:00 p.m. ET. Both sides have plenty of firepower and are dealing with injuries to key players. Let’s go over how you should go about betting against the spread and an ideal prop bet for the matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Atlanta Hawks at Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET
ATS Pick: Trail Blazers -4.5
The Hawks have only won one of their last five games and Trae Young was completely taken out of Friday’s game against the Utah Jazz. The Blazers haven’t been elite defensively and will be without Jusuf Nurkic, but still have much more depth and have won four of their last five games. Young is dealing with a tight back, Cam Reddish is dealing with a knee injury, and Danilo Gallinari won’t be available to back up DeAndre Hunter at small forward. Portland has all the tools to bounce back from a bad loss to the Indiana Pacers.
Player Prop: Clint Capela to record a double-double (+120)
Capela has five double-doubles in nine games and was on a minutes restriction for his first two games of the season. He’s grabbed at least nine rebounds in every game he’s played in and draws a favorable matchup against Enes Kanter, who often struggles to protect the rim. I like Capela’s odds to reach his season averages.
