After taking a week off for their bye in the first round, the Chiefs will take on the Cleveland Browns at home as Patrick Mahomes will look to continue leading the charge for Kansas City. This is the Browns’ first Divisional round match-up since 1994 after taking down the Steelers in their wild card game.
Outside of the big names, who are some lower-tier value flex plays on both teams that could help you win this Divisional game showdown on DraftKings? Let’s discuss some options below.
Demarcus Robinson, WR, $7,200
Robinson had an impressive performance in Week 17 against the Chargers as he went 6-for-7 with 58 total yards. Obviously, with both Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill held out of the game with little to play for, his role was expanded and he saw more targets than usual. Still, he’s usually good for a few targets per game and can perform well in the right circumstances, and should be considered a decent value pick when compared to Hill’s $15,600 price tag.
Le’Veon Bell, RB, $8,700
While Bell is still technically a bigger name, he comes with a smaller DFS salary this week at only $8,700 especially if you compare it to Nick Chubb’s $14.1k or Kareem Hunt’s $10.8k. Bell didn’t feature in the Chiefs’ Week 17 loss to the Chargers, but expect him to see plenty of action against the Browns especially if Clyde Edwards-Helaire isn’t fully cleared to play this weekend. Edwards-Helaire practiced earlier in the week, but it’s still unknown whether he’ll make a full return for the Browns contest or not.
Rashard Higgins, WR, $7,500
Higgins saw a decent number of targets last week in the Browns’ 48-37 win over the Steelers, but he only went 2-for-7 with 28 total yards. Higgins averaged 6.8 targets over the last five games of the season, so expect him to see about the same this weekend against the Chiefs, and he’s a great value option to slot in under some of the bigger names who carry much higher salary tags.
