One of the best men’s basketball teams in the American Athletic Conference is set to face off against one of the worst on Sunday. No. 11 Houston will host Central Florida in hopes of maintaining control of the conference.

The Cougars are 10-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play. Former Kansas Jayhawk Quentin Grimes leads Houston in points per game with 17.7 in his second year with the team. The Knights are 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play, and are looking to snap a three-game losing streak that began with a loss to Houston in December. Brandon Mahan leads is one of UCF’s few bright spots and leads the team with 15.6 points per game.

The Best Bet

Houston only topped UCF by 11 earlier this season, but is a much better team and should benefit from playing at home this time around. The Cougars have won by double-digits in every home game but one so it’s only natural for them to stay hot on their own turf against a lesser opponent.

Pick: Houston -14
