If you had the Baylor Bears -8.5 in tonight’s game between the No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks and No. 2 Baylor, we offer you our unreserved thoughts and prayers. This is as bad a beat as you’ll ever see, and it happened in one of the biggest college basketball games of the year.

Baylor was up 77-64 with 1:03 remaining, and dribbled out the clock to kill off the game as well. But it ends 77-69, and all the Kansas tickets will cash instead.
Chris Teahan played one minute in tonight’s game, but he was a +5 to lead all Jayhawks. He also made a shot that will ring glorious for those that had the road underdogs, and absolutely broke the hearts of those holding a ticket for the team that dominated the game mostly from tip-off.
And with no Monday Night Football and only the NBA and NHL in competition on the evening, there were a lot of people that likely placed a wager on the outcome of this one.
For Bears bettors, they won’t remember the 30 points from Jared Butler, including 7-9 from three-point range. Or the outstanding outing for Scott Drew and his team that put a bigger lock on their favorite status for the rest of the season.
They’ll just remember the heave from a KU benchwarmer that cost them a winning ticket. The thrill of victory, and the agony of the bad beat.
