What to do with Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick in Week 17 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of PLAYER ahead of the Broncos Week 17 matchup against the Raiders.

It was clear that some pass-catchers would need to step up when Courtland Sutton suffered a season-ending injury and two players have answered the call at wide receiver. Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick’s numbers are almost identical through 16 weeks. One of them could have a big game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 and we’ll go over the fantasy football outlook for both options here.

Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick

Jeudy easily leads Denver in targets with 106 and also has a narrow edge on Patrick in receiving yards. The rookie racked up a season-high 15 targets against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16 but only hauled in six. Drew Lock has made it a point to give Jeudy plenty of chances but Patrick has done just as much as less of a focal point. Patrick hasn’t been targeted 10 or more times in one game this season but ranks second in receptions with 49. He’s also caught more touchdowns passes (6) than any other Broncos and has eclipsed 100 receiving yards three times this season. He might not get a ton of passes thrown his way but manages to rack up plenty of yardage with the chances he does get.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Jeudy’s volume makes him the more ideal play in this situation. I’d start him over Patrick despite their nearly identical numbers.
