UPDATE: Doncic returned to the game and didn’t miss a beat, playing 7 minutes in the second quarter. He’s up to 7 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in 19 minutes at halftime. The knee appears to be fine, though we’ll see if Doncic is held back at all in the second half.

Dallas Mavericks All-Star PG Luka Doncic was forced to go to the locker room after the first quarter of Wednesday night’s game vs. the Indiana Pacers due to an apparent lower-body injury. According to reporters, Doncic wasn’t limping when he went to the room, but had been grabbing at the back of his knee during the first quarter.

Doncic played 12 minutes, the entire first quarter, scoring 4 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. He was able to return to the game shortly after in the second quarter. Needless to say, we’ll be keeping an eye on the MVP candidate to see if this injury becomes anything more serious.
