Allen Lazard had the hero moment in last week’s Divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams. He caught a beautiful throw from Aaron Rodgers to score a 58-yard touchdown, effectively icing the game and securing the Packers’ win. It also made for a pretty good fantasy football output; he finished with 96 yards on four catches to go with his score. The question now is whether or not he can do it again when the Packers host the Buccaneers this weekend.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Allen Lazard, $4,200
Interestingly enough, Lazard and Marquez Valdes-Scantling had the same number of targets, eight, and catches. MVS didn’t break off the big play this time, which kept his overall numbers down. Those two kind of trade off big days as supporting cast members behind Davante Adams. The problem for fantasy is you never know which one is going to go off that day.
I think the Packers are going to be throwing a lot more against the Bucs this week. That gives both Lazard and MVS a good chance at producing, but Lazard is probably a slightly better bet.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
At that price, Lazard is a solid WR3 in DraftKings leagues, and most other formats as well. Take a chance on him for his upside.
